After exiting the NPfIT Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust goes live with RiO hosted by Servelec Healthcare.
Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust currently operates from more than 100 sites across the county offering community/home based care, inpatient care and has over 4000 users providing specialist Mental Health and Community Health Services.
Berkshire’s Community East, West and Mental Health teams all went live with RiO over one weekend, a testament to the Trust’s drive and ambition. Berkshire utilises RiO with over 4,000 users and is connected to the Spine Personal Demographic Service (PDS) with Choose and Book slots in excess of 500 per day.
RiO provides Berkshire with higher levels of functionality and control over their own configuration and has enabled the Trust to commence a comprehensive integration programme starting with the interface Oxford Hospitals for Newborn Bloodspots results streamlining Child Health processing and providing clinicians with real time data.
Berkshire is hosted by Servelec and the data transition from BT to Servelec’s data centres had minimal impact on the Trust’s ‘business as usual operations’ as staff moved over to RiO.
Mark Davison, Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Director IM&T said: “RiO has provided us with flexibility and more control over the system, helping us to deliver excellent services for Mental and Community Health. We are looking forward to working with Servelec and developing RiO to improve our quality of care and provide best care in the right place.”
Lindsay Dransfield Servelec Healthcare’s Sales Director said: “We are delighted to announce the go live at Berkshire. The Trust are very easy to work with; Berkshire and Servelec teams focussed on taking the Trust live and the commitment shown by both organisations has seen another successful delivery of RiO.”
